I am the owner of a 1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. I am looking for advice/information regarding quarter panel replacement. I have a set of new quarters already, but I don't want to start until I know exactly what to do. I need to replace both quarters on mine and I have a bunch of questions. Here it goes;
From past experience is using a TIG or MIG better to reduce warpage?
Where do you suggest to cut the old quarter out (approx. dimensions from outer perimeters)?
What type of joint is the strongest to use (lap, butt, flanged)?
Any info. would be greatly appreciated,
